7 Extremely Powerful Secrets of High Achievement Motivation Individuals

Do you want to know why successful people achieve what they want and what they do to have high achievement motivation?

If so, read on to know these things.

1. They Have a Super Strong Desire For Success

high achievement motivation

Every person who accomplished great things always has an urge, or a need, for achieving success.

They don’t let anyone or anything deter away from accomplishing what they want to accomplish.

You can see it in this person when they walk in a room.

Have you ever seen someone you went to school with walk in the room and they give it their all every day and they seem super obsessed with getting good grades?

Chances are, this person has a very strong desire for success and has high achievement motivation.

Now let me show you another example.

Have you ever seen someone and said “There’s something up with them?”

Be it at work, at school or in a sport?

They seem to put in extra effort above everyone else and they have a look in their face that makes you think “What is up with this guy?”

Chances are if you witnessed this and you saw the results stemming from their actions, they are really working to success.

When you have a strong desire for success, you develop an obsession like you have never felt it before.

It makes you want to focus on your success only and neglect everything else around you.

In other words, you become lasered in on what you want.

Let me give you an example to prove this point.

Do you know Kobe Bryant?

Kobe Bryant was, without question, the hardest worker in the NBA.

According to Michael Jordan, Kobe was the only basketball player to do the work required to have a greatest player of all time comparison made between the 2 players.

How would he do it?

He would show up at the gym every day at 5 am, he would show up to practice at least 2 hours before everyone else and when he was on the court, he would ruthlessly eat every competitor up alive for lunch like it was nothing.

Yes, this was who Kobe Bryant was.

As a result, he won 5 NBA Championships, a league MVP and was named to numerous All Star Games.

Why?

It was simple. He had an urgent desire for success and he did everything he needed to do to get it.

And this is how you need to be when you set your own goals and you go for what you want in life.

It is the only way to get it since there will be some other guy on the planet working harder than you trying to get it.

If you aren’t convinced, let me give you another example to prove my point (one that might be more doable for you than becoming an NBA player).

I once went to school with this girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut.

I vividly remember the first time I saw her and I immediately noticed something different about her.

She seemed way more confident than everyone else and way more determined to do something.

It became obvious to me that she was up to something.

And as I progressed throughout college, I realized my thoughts about her were correct.

She earned 2 internships, one at Lockheed Martin and another at Boeing and went on to become a researcher at NASA.

At least from my perspective, if she keeps up the momentum, she will become an astronaut.

Now, what is at the root of her success thus far?

Desire.

It doesn’t matter which goal you aim for.

It all starts with the desire to obtain something and then figuring out the know how as you go along.

I encourage you to read this post here about how to redirect your sexual energy to achieve anything you want.

In it, you’ll find a really engaging activity that will guide you on what vocation you should be pursuing and the possible steps to get there.

When you complete it, you should have what you need to find out what your obsession is and to relentlessly pursue it.

Now, when you crave success, you definitely do his next thing that successful people do and it’s this:

2. They Read Viciously

dog with glasses

Let’s be real here:

There is not a single successful person on the planet who doesn’t read.

Read that sentence again to comprehend this reality if you must.

Now, with this in mind, you have to know this:

To be successful in anything, it doesn’t matter if you are the most disciplined, the most determined nor the more consistent person in the room.

They are all important ingredients, but the one you absolutely MUST have is the correct knowledge.

If you don’t have this, you might as well sit at home all day.

It’ll basically be working without receiving any value in exchange.

Usually, the correct knowledge to do what you want to do comes from books.

Successful person after successful person testified over and over again that the knowledge that allowed them to pursue what they wanted came from books.

If you simply look at this article here, you will find very notable people simply saying that books gave them the knowledge they needed to succeed.

In fact, there is a quote that goes like this: “Books are the treasured wealth of the world.”

It is true.

Books contain pretty much every piece of knowledge you can think of to do anything in life.

As Warren Buffett said, it’s all there for the taking.

The question is:

Are you going to take it and run with it?

Not many people will.

However, as history has shown, one will.

So I, and the rest of the world, challenge you to seize it all while you can to become that one and to create your own reality.

Or someone will do it.

Now here is another thing people who are extremely successful do.

3. They Don’t Settle For Less

beach

You always notice this when learning about the greats when it comes to going after what they want.

The best of the best don’t compromise the achievement of their goals.

They always find a way to do it no matter what.

Settling for mediocrity is not an option.

The guy I mentioned earlier, Kobe Bryant, never settled for mediocrity.

His vision and mentality was to get after it and achieve every goal possible on the court and off the court without regard to what others believed he should do.

He once said to a very prominent star in the NBA :

“Draymond, 99 percent of the world is okay with mediocrity, or worse. But, at best, mediocrity. You’re chasing something so much bigger that, how do you ever expect anyone to understand?”

These are some powerful words about greatness, don’t you think?

Mediocrity is the sin that destroys you when you look to achieve your goals.

It doesn’t do anything to help you get to where you need to be.

Like Kobe said, if you go for mediocrity, you will end up looking like everyone else.

When you look like everyone else, there is no way of people knowing who you are and there is no reason for someone to care about you.

And that is the truth of this world.

You can’t settle for anything less than what you want if you expect to get the maximum results.

Now, this doesn’t mean quit your job and starve to death to get what you want.

You shouldn’t do that.

However, you should make every step possible to assure that you put in the maximum amount of time possible to achieve your goals and that you give yourself the best possible chance of achieving them.

So if this means working on your side hustle after you get home from work, then so be it.

At least you are putting in the effort unlike most people who will never put in the effort required to achieve what they want.

Now to get what you want, you have to do this next thing that many successful people do on a daily basis and it’s this:

4. They Go The Extra Mile

run

This means doing that one duty your coworker didn’t do that gets the entire group over the hump.

This means going to the professor during office hours to get that question clarified that other students won’t take the time to do.

You might notice a lot of people who do really well.

They provide that extra care when serving a customer, they show great enthusiasm when they are rehearsing for the big play and they stay for 15 minutes longer to get an important question answered.

In short, it’s called having initiative.

People with initiative and an extra set of willpower will storm ahead of everyone else just because everyone else is too lazy to put in that extra work.

This is why you see a noticeable gap in the results of those who do the extra work required to achieve their goals and those who don’t do the extra work required to achieve their goals.

All these extra miles added up amount to a great deal of work that can make the difference between succeeding in what you want and failing.

So to protect yourself, you should go that extra mile or someone will steal what’s yours.

If it means showing up early and staying late, do it.

By whatever means, take that extra step to get ahead in whatever you are doing so you don’t lose out on what should be yours!

Now here’s another thing about people who are successful at what they do:

5. They Are Consistent

class

As they say, consistency breeds greatness.

It’s a very boring process on the surface, but when you peel through the layers, you will find it to be an extremely important process to do to achieve any success.

Let me explain my point in further detail.

Being consistent can be viewed as drudgery.

It is a process you have to repeat every single day in order to get the results you want.

The reason for this is if you do the same thing every day, you will get predictable results over time.

And when you can predict your results over time, you have the power of knowing what you can do and what you cannot do when you put in a certain amount of time into what you are doing.

Knowing your craft so well to the point where you can predict your results on top of performing the same thing day in and day out will add up to a lot at the end of the day.

And when you look back at what you did and think why you got to where you are, you will find this to be the reason as to why you got to where you are.

Consistency pays off every time.

Every successful person testified again and again that consistency is the thing that separated them from every other person.

It doesn’t matter what you do.

If you are consistent, you will get results.

Now, to be consistent, you have to do this next thing successful people do, which is this:

6. They Delay Gratification

guy working

This might be one you already know, but it’s worth mentioning again.

Too many people fall for what’s called a shiny object syndrome, which distracts people away from their goals and leads them to wonder why they didn’t achieve them in the first place.

This is the problem with most people.

They can’t stay focused and they want to play on Instagram instead of getting down to business with what they need to do to succeed with their goal.

Many people get depressed over time regarding these choices.

Have you ever seen anyone so excited when they are young only to become extremely depressed when they get older?

Specifically, those who did drugs?

This is the effect of instant gratification.

Typically, this depression is a mix of things going on in the brain as a result of drug use and flat out regret.

On this note, let’s discuss regret for a moment.

Regret is the worst feeling you can have in the world.

Read that sentence again if you must.

It means you wish you could have done something better with your situation.

It’s like a punch in the stomach when you have this feeling.

You go to an all time low in self esteem (if you let it) and you get very depressed.

All of these feelings are avoidable if you stick with your program and you don’t deviate away from it.

Successful people do not fall for instant gratification.

They stick with their program and refuse any temptation that would deviate them away from their goals.

This is why they are successful.

If you follow everything you need to do consistently, you will never have regret in anything you do and you will achieve what you want to achieve.

To prove this, let me show you something.

There’s this concept called future self-continuity, whereby you literally predict your own future based on following everything you need to do to get what you want.

It’s literally the closest thing to a magic crystal ball that tells you how your future will unfold.

I used this concept many times in college to see myself achieving the top test scores in my classes and on numerous occasions, I did just that.

It was because I literally followed the same schedule day in and day out with no interruptions (unless I got sick).

As a result, results like this happened:

grade

And this is just one example.

In this example, I literally had a vision of getting 100 on the exam. I studied for the exam 3 hours per day (4.5 hours per day during the last week) and I chipped away at every concept I could.

Granted, I didn’t take every single point down due to time and so I can get as much information in as possible, but I still did what I needed to do consistently to ensure the best possible result.

And as you can see, this is what happened.

When I got sick that semester, I didn’t make any excuses.

I emailed a classmate for notes and I got the notes I needed.

I kept the vision in mind the whole time and worked consistently towards it and I got very close to it while getting the highest grade in the class for this exam.

And you can replicate success in your own endeavors with consistent work every day in what you are doing.

And when you work consistently and avoid the temptations associated with the “easy” things, you will get what you want.

Of course, this assumes you have a roof over your head or you’ll be forced to not work on your goals if you know what I mean.

Now working consistently is fine and all, but what is the thing that allows you to do it you might ask?

7. They’re Disciplined (The High Achievement Motivation Secret)

military

Discipline will take you places if you engage in it.

It is the difference between greatness and mediocrity.

The truth is everyone is on the same playing field with the same intellectual ability (disabilities neglected).

Unfortunately, this playing field becomes less even as time progresses.

The reason?

It’s not brains.

It’s discipline.

The discipline to get up every day and put in the work with the same processes and the same can-do positive mindset every day.

It’s what leads to certainty and progress in your life.

Of course, you need the right program in place to achieve your goals (ex. the correct education).

Without it, discipline can only take you so far.

But provided you have the correct system to follow and the time to put into your goals, having the discipline to consistently follow through on what you need to do are the two things you need in order to accomplish what you want.

That’s it.

This post should do the trick in helping you see what really successful people do in order to accomplish what they want to accomplish.

I hope this post serves you well in helping you achieve your goals.
