How to Be the Heat is a weird title isn’t it? After all, it might not make any sense when you first hear it. However, when we investigate when the Heat is, you’ll definitely see why it is so fitting.
If you’re a basketball fan, you definitely know who the Miami Heat are, the greatest NBA franchise ever and the franchise solely responsible for LeBron’s success (sorry Cleveland fans, your franchise sucks; you all wouldn’t even have your success without us)! Here’s a great memory to cheer you up!Â
When LeBron was down here, we literally crushed the competition and became the big bad guys of the NBA. Everyone hated us, we were the flagship team of the NBA across the world, and when we came into an opponents arena, everyone filled in the seats and booed us. Not to mention that the vast majority of the time, we literally crushed the other teams and sent their fans home crying in misery or they became Heat fans right after the game. Now talk about influence!
Everyone was lined up to see us (the mainlanders) and we the Heat (the Islanders) created the show for everyone to indulge, whether they hated us or liked us. It was like having free press and free advertising without even trying!In fact, it was. It was such a glorious time in our franchise’s history, until he betrayed us and left! And then the Heat went with him and Cleveland got all of the attention.
They became the headlines and then they sold out every one of their games. Why? How could that be that we have no attention at all now? It’s because no one was a showman. No one stood up and became the star (except D-WADE maybe). So hence, the Heat went away with LeBron.
The Heat is what makes people on the hot seat. It puts them at the top of their mind. Their priority. Their center of attention. The thing that makes he or she ask “What is this? This is amazing! I have to have this!” Or, “What the hell is this? I can’t stand this anymore and I need him gone!”
So in NBA terms, LeBron is the Heat. Why? LeBron not only delivers, but he makes it a show. He is selfish in how he plays and behaves in front of the camera, but yet when he tries to be a good guy, everyone loves him even if they hate him.
In other words, his actions have made him the indisputable authority in his field, the game of basketball. And that is exactly what you need to become in your field. The Heat. The thing that gets every person’s attention. The thing that gets headlines and free press that the media loves to make a story out of. Hence, you get all of the business and everyone else is ignored.

Sounds like an island doesn’t it?!And that is what it has to be like.But how does one become the Heat and be at the top of everyone’s mind? Well, there are certain things that you have to do and they’re laid out right here.
You Have to Become Mr. or Ms. WOW
Without this, you will never get any attention. Plain and simple. People will pay and tune in for spectacular content, not for average “Where should we go out for lunch” ba hoo ee. Something that will give them that “Oh my god, who is this guy?” And that’s why people pay to go see LeBron James instead of Luke Babbitt, no offense to a Heatle.
But really, when LeBron puts up at least 35 points per night for the entire season, you can’t help but watch! And with that, the great debate begins. Who is the greatest player of all time, LeBron James or Michael Jordan (leave a comment below and say who you think it is and let the party begin)!
And that’s the position that you, my future islander, must get to. You must become the star in everything that you are doing with the utmost effort and attention to perfecting your craft. Because people will notice that and they will hunt you down for it (in a good way). They will want to pay attention to you, they will want to write about you, they would want to interview you above anyone else, and you’ll get a larger clientele as a result. Because you are bringing value to your audience. Tremendous value. And that’s what really sells.
How can you identify the customer’s needs/wants/desires and articulate through your words and actions that you are the most effective solution to them. To the degree that you do that is the degree that you are the Heat.
How do I do it you might ask? I know that people are misinformed about what they are doing to get to the full potential, their self-actualization, and I provide the most effective information in getting them there. And doing it vigorously with a genuine interest in helping those people, which you might be a part of, where the effect is so strong and powerful and impactful to the point where you become inspired and motivated more than anywhere else in the world to take action every single day towards the thing that you want.
And you never look back. And that is how Mr. or Ms. WOW can be born. Know this: Spectacular = Attention (in a fantastic way) and Business
You Must Become The Most Persistent Man or Woman on Earth
To get people to remember you, you must become from now on the most persistent person on the planet. Because when you are, everyone will become unsettled and they’ll say “Who the heck is this guy or gal always using his actions to genuinely help us and amuse us?
And he (or she) does it with such a passion! I will always want him or her around as long as he or she is doing that!” Persistence means that you will not stop until you get what you want, and even then you should still not stop. You must keep going at all times to keep the party going along.
Everyone will tell you “You are doing too much! Please stop!” “You are taking it overboard, please dial it down!” To that you must say in your head but not to them, “Shut the f*** up. I’m a freaking champion who is getting what he wants and you are just another whiner who just wants me to slow down.” They can never stop you there. If they ever try to talk to you like that, then you are doing it correctly.
All you have to do is simply ignore them and keep doing what you’re doing and then some (unless it is a legal or medical order of course). That’s it. And every effort will compound itself for you.
And the next thing that you know, you will produce a result and the headlines will mark your achievement to your community, country, and the world. And over time, that persistence will translate to Mr. or Ms. WOW. And THAT’S what has to happen before you get the big bucks.
If you are persistent, people will notice. And hence, you become the Heat. Know this: Spectacular + Persistence = Attention, Business, and Respect
You Must Have ALL of the Energy
To become the Heat, you must be the energy. Because energy = attention and stardom.
Let me ask you, do you listen to the boring guy with his bagged lunch with a frowning face or do you listen to the guy who is passionate every day and always greets you and is smiling and he has such a love for what he is doing?Definitely the latter one. Obvious? Yes. Doable? Yes. Achievable for you? Yes. Will you actually do it and achieve it?That remains to be seen.
However, that’s why you are here. To learn how to do it. To learn how to be at the top of everyone’s mind. And the best way to do it in most cases is smile because if you don’t, you will bring negative energy and that is game over.
You see frowning faces all of the time on the street, at work, and maybe at your home. Do you ever want to associate or talk to them? Of course not! Now what about Mr. Positive Energy? You would be like, “Oh WOW, who is this guy? He just brightened my day?!” Now that is attention! Do you want a game over? Of course not.
Because to win the game, you cannot do what the losing bound people are doing. Because that is a failed experiment.And I can assure you that if you don’t smile, it’s game over. Negative Energy = Game Over. That’s a fact.
And also, if you have all of the energy, you set the tempo for the rest of the game. Every opponent must go along YOUR pace. That means under YOUR rules and YOUR speed. If you are super fast and they are super slow and you control the pace, you have them right into your trap and they can’t escape it. Your intensity and ferocity must be present and you must have everyone asking “What the heck am I supposed to do now?” Because if they ask that, you are doing it correctly.
If you are in sports, if you get the enemy scrambling for answers and your energy and tempo gets them confused and panicked, that is a sign that you are in control and you just have to dial it up a notch and then another notch and then another notch after that. Because chances are, they will become so confused and so fed up that their frustration might just give you the victory.
And if you’re in business, you would want to bring the energy to gather cooperation from your fellow associates in the company to work with you and in many cases, when negotiating with the enemy, you want to make them feel and see that they have won too, because the less animosity the better.
And with that, you will inject conformity in everybody to listen to you and to do what you want. Except in your rival companies of course, but they’ll have respect for you for sure, which is a great thing to have. And that is the power of having all of the energy.

Knowledge is Potential Power
I think that this goes without saying that without knowledge, you’re toast. Simple as that. You must always brush up on your craft and research what the competition is doing and what your market wants so that you can manipulate your game plan to achieve the most market capacity that you can obtain and to retain their attention towards you.
However, to actually obtain the correct is a whole different ball game. One book that I would really recommend that you read is The Art of War by Sun Tzu. This book goes into the basics of successful warfare and how to approach certain situations to claim your victory.
One of the best lines in the book is from Chapter 3 titled “Attack by Stratagem” in which the author says this: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb (surrender) every battle.”
This means that you must know EVERYTHING that there is to know about your competitors, the field, and the business in order to ensure victory. If you don’t do this, you will lose eventually. Guaranteed.
So, do not sit there and say “We’re not perfect. Other experts told me not to worry about perfection.”
Perfection won’t come instantly, but if you are not eventually perfect to the point where you can master every move, you will never be undefeated.
You will be defeated at some point without perfection. And what if that defeat is so large that you lose everything that you’ve worked for? Now you would need to be perfect.
Guaranteed.
And that is how you maintain the Heat.

Doing this will give you all of the answers to everything that you are looking for and then some. Doing this activity will get you going and will force you to move instead of just sitting on your butt all day doing bs work. Doing this will make you a star. It’ll make you a somebody. Or rather, the body. So go do it and achieve it and LET’S GO HEAT!
