Of course, there are other ways of learning like YouTube and going to a class.

However, the fundamentals for everything have always come from books and that will never change.

Aside from the knowledge gaining part of reading, there are studies that show those who read keep their minds sharper when they get older.

What typically happens when you get older is your brain starts to deteriorate and it starts to lose its cognitive abilities.

As a result, your ability to learn drops.

When you read, you prevent this effect from occurring since your brain will remain accustomed to acquiring and applying new information.

Hence, it doesn’t rust out.

On top of that, you will not be losing out on money.

You see, every moment you spend doing a recreational activity is an opportunity cost.

The reason for this is because you could’ve have been using that time to educate yourself on something that could increase your earning potential in the world.

In case you aren’t aware, inflation reduces the value of a dollar every single year.

It doesn’t make sense.

Now you might try to take the shortcut and go to YouTube.

For some cases, that’s actually true and I can name a few examples of that.

But for the vast majority of cases (particularly famous people), they all go to the books and write what they have to share.

Now think about it for a second.

If every great genius is reading books to get their knowledge and they are viewed in great light, how would you describe the writers of these books?

They have to be brilliant to in order to write books about what they know on top of mastering them.

There is no way that you can write an effective book without really understanding what you are presenting.

You have to know the ins and outs of the subject matter to be able to teach anyone who meets the prerequisites to read your book to not only understand the subject, but to apply it in a real world setting.

If a reader can read your book and apply it successfully, whether it’s for a school test or in the real world, you have mastered the subject matter and you have developed expertise with what you are presenting.

In fact, let me tell you a story of how I was able to use a book that I read to control 2 situations where I would’ve been destroyed otherwise.

I read a book called “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu, which is a classic on war time strategy and is used by many of the world’s most powerful business executives to navigate the unpredictable waters of people and their smiling faces with hidden agendas.

In the situation, I was involved in a car accident where I was listening to my music so loud after annihilating a Differential Equations test (I was really celebrating).

So the guy comes up to my car and I rolled down my window and this guy immediately went into a tirade criticizing me instead of trying to work out the situation.

After initially planning to talk to him and noticing how he was behaving, I immediately switched gears and stayed silent and made him feel like he was in charge. Eventually he just fled the scene, which is illegal.

Now notice that I made him “feel” like he was in charge instead of actually making him in charge.

What I was doing was I took advantage of the fact that he was on an emotional high and that his judgment was compromised since he was on a power trip.

Because I recognized this, I didn’t give him any indication that I would attack him, which let him go about what he was doing.

If I had chosen to let my emotions get the best of me, I would have committed a crime in attacking him and he would put the blame on me for assaulting him.

But instead, I let him fall into his own trap in that he was on the verge of doing something illegal, which was what happened when he fled the scene.

The only thing that I did wrong in that scenario was I didn’t take a picture of his license plate, which had I known that, the officer told me he would’ve went to jail.

The lesson here is that I deceived him since he was giving himself an illusion of feeling in charge, which took out all of his logical process from thinking if I was doing anything to control the situation, which I was.

Hence, I let him divert himself from the reality that I was playing defense when I sat there and listened. I protected myself from his intention to get me on my emotions so that he could paint me as the bad guy.

It’s the art of fighting without fighting. You set a situation where everything appears normal when in reality, something is going on which you can’t see.

Hence, their judgment become incorrect.

This is the power of deception in any interaction where someone is trying to get you off of your game. This is one of the lessons in “The Art of War.”

Now I also used a book called “How to Win Friends and Influence People” where I used a principle called “let the other person do a great deal of the talking” in that people love to talk and they love to feel like they are in control.

As a result, they don’t think logically about things. This is where you can take advantage of people since they will most likely act on their emotions since positive emotions feel good.

And that is exactly how I was able to perform the art of fighting without fighting.

You can visualize what you want to create with images that YOU produce, not what some channel gives you when you watch TV.

Books and real world experience will.

All you have to do is pick up a book and start reading to achieve the same thing.

And have your goals straightened out while you are at it so you have super god or super goddess focus.
