The Value of Consistency to Achieve Your Ultimate Greatness Starting Today

Do you want to know what to do to get to the top of your field with the 7 benefits of consistency?

If you said yes, I’ll give you the answer right now.

The answer is:

Consistency.

Regardless of how good you are.

Now why consistency over everything else?

Read on to know the value of consistency to your eventual greatness.

You Have Certainty

Consistency gives you certainty in what you are doing.

That’s the number one power of consistency.

The reason is because you do the same thing day in and day out.

As a result, you know what you will have accomplished that day and what it entails for your future.

Over time, this daily action resulting in a daily accomplishment (aka: “a quick win”) will propel you to become the greatest figure in your field (or one of the greatest).

Let me explain why this is the case.

For most people, consistency is difficult to maintain over time.

They will get lazy, distracted, want to “Netflix and chill” with their friends, etc.

This is not the recipe for success in anything. It’s the recipe for mediocrity.

That’s why they all get stressed as to what will happen to the economy, why the bills aren’t paid, why they are not doing as well as they should in school or their job, why they are falling behind economically, etc.

Now compare it to those who are actually consistent with their good habits.

They don’t get stressed since they are focused. Because of this focused on a particular goal that they have, they will know for sure that they cannot be neat in the long run.

Sure, there are some loses because nothing is perfect, but they are always in championship contention.

That is how champions are born.

They do it over and over again because they have a system that works again and again. Following the system that works will lead to success day in and out without worries.

That is a fact.

If you are in the right vehicle and you follow the system that works day in and day out, there is no stopping you.

Now I say the right system because your habits will not get you anywhere without the right strategies or resources.

Let me put it to you this way:

Let’s say you study for a degree with all of the correct study hacks.

However, you are studying at an unaccredited university.

Will you achieve your goal with that?

Exactly.

The correct vehicle is important.

But the vehicle combined with the correct strategy and consistency, nothing can stop you!

I promise you that!

And because you put in the work, this next point will be the sweetener to your coffee:

You Have History Is On Your Side

History always lies on the side of the consistent ones.

Let me give you an example to prove my point:

Kobe Bryant was arguably the most ambitious and ruthless competitor the game of basketball has ever seen.

He outworked everybody to the point where he intimidated everybody when it came time to play the game, much more than Michael Jordan and LeBron James combined.

Let me walk you through what he did.

Ever since he was a little kid, he would study his father’s every move on the court, who did well for himself in various leagues.

He would then spend every summer perfecting his craft and mastering every move he could make.

When he got to high school, he was literally unstoppable. He averaged 31.1 points on 10.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists and was his state’s basketball player of the year.

When he got into the NBA out of college, he would start working out each and every day starting at 3 am in the morning.

In fact, he was so extreme with this that Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, two players on Kobe’s Olympic team, commented that every player would get up at 9 in the morning and they commented on Kobe finishing his workouts by that time.

And wanting to do more.

As a result, every teammate of Kobe’s started working out at 5:30 in the morning.

And Kobe would do this day in and day out.

That is consistency and that is the root of Kobe’s greatness.

He went down as the greatest Laker of all time and one of the top 5 players in NBA history. He won 5 championships, made the all-NBA team 15 times and won an NBA MVP award in 2008 among many other accomplishments.

You can’t resist the man’s greatness and what he accomplished.

And what was the root of all of this success?

Consistency.

There are countless examples of people achieving greatness from consistency, but the Black Mamba stands above all because he is the true example of greatness.

If there is one thing that you should learn from this post, it’s that when you are consistent, know that every person who has achieved greatness have all been consistent at what they do.

And also know this:

Sometimes, you might not be your best, but if you are consistent, you will cumulatively outshine others in every area of what you do.

Why?

Because you have the determination to get better and because you do it every day, it’s an eventuality that you do get better.

And this will rise you to the top of what you do.

And when you show up day in and day out and follow the successful routine you set for yourself, you do this next thing with others:

You Build Trust

Trust is the foundation for all business on the planet.

This is established when you consistently keep your word and deliver on what you promise.

When you are consistent, you repeat your actions.

And when you repeat things, people continue to expect them out of you.

And if the things you repeat deliver a great result, they will want to be around you, they will want to do business with you and they will decrease their resistance to you, which is important in facilitating any transaction.

Many people and businesses promise one thing and deliver another (everyone’s been guilty of this at one point; be shameless about it if you have, but learn from it).

This is why most people do not trust the person or business to do the job and over time, this will result in a substantial amount of lost revenue.

In your case, this revenue might not necessarily be in the form of cash, but in the form of your happiness and good times with great people.

This is not what you want to be.

You want to be the go-to person in what you do and to be the authority in your space.

And it starts with consistently delivering the best products, doing the best job out of anyone and going the extra mile every time to get the job done right the first time.

I’ll give you an example to prove my point:

My advisor from college was the best academic advisor in the world.

She would always come in to work as the first person in and the last person out with a smile on her face and a genuine desire to help others succeed in the program.

Every time she assisted someone, she would always listen to what they had to say and she never criticized the person one bit for their problem.

She always got the problem solved (at least for me) and she always asked how she could help every student more.

No one would even question that the first person they would go to for help whether it’s an academic issue, how to find a job or even for a personal problem, was her and no one else.

That’s how amazing this woman was and still is.

In fact, she was so amazing at her job that when she got promoted, students and faculty members held a farewell party to celebrate her for who she was.

No other faculty member gets this treatment.

But this treatment wasn’t given to her.

She earned it.

Why?

Because she was consistently great at what she did and because of this, everyone trusted her to get the job done (and she always did more than what she was asked).

This is what you need to do in order to gain respect in this world and to become someone that people want to do business with.

Nobody wants to lay a finger or even see the face of someone who did not deliver on their promises.

And this trust all starts with being consistent in delivering your promises and keeping your word.

Know this (and don’t trust politicians while you are at it).

Now to deliver a great product, you must have key information in your hands before making it.

And this starts with:

You Learn How To Prepare

Let me tell you a not-so-secret secret of the world:

You are a business.

Yes, that’s right. You ARE a business.

Why?

Because you deliver value to the marketplace in exchange for something else of value.

You are trading one asset in exchange for another asset each and every day, even if it’s exchanging your time to watch TV.

You are making a business deal with the TV to watch it for a price.

That is how the world works and will always work, regardless of what politicians want you to believe.

However, there is a golden opportunity to capitalize on this not-so-secret secret.

Do you want to know what it is?

Here it is:

Knowing what people are willing to pay for and the supply and demand associated with what they are willing to pay for.

This will allow you to capitalize on what people find valuable and allow you to get paid for it.

This is important to recognize because at the end of the day, money is everything on this planet regardless of what other people make you believe.

So what does this force you to do?

Prepare every single day in order to get the money.

And doing this day in and day out will equip you with a lot of insight that the competition (other people) won’t have.

And when the results pour in and you have a little subtle smile on your face, you’ll know that your planning has paid off.

As they say, it pays to do your homework.

And when you do your homework, you’ll know this important detail:

You Learn How to Plan

Do you know what’s great about homework?

You learn what to do and what not to do.

This is extremely important in life because it is the sign of true wisdom.

As a result, you are prepared and come up with a game plan for each scenario that’s thrown at you.

And do you know what motivates you to do homework more than anything (aside from getting good grades)?

A great desire to want something.

When you desire something so much more than anyone else, you put your heart, soul and energy into learning that one thing and becoming the best at it.

This is what it means to become obsessed.

You can’t have it any other way to survive, so you do what you need to do in order to blaze past the competition.

As a result, you eventually come to learn that preparation is everything when it comes to winning championships and achieving what you want.

Now the only thing is that you need to execute your game plan and win.

But none of that comes without preparation beforehand.

Let me ask you this:

Have you ever passed a test without preparing beforehand for the main event?

Exactly.

When you do this over time, you will start to see your results blossom into something that will raise a lot of eyebrows as to how you are doing it.

This is when you know you’ve got something going for yourself.

If you don’t believe my point, I invite you to view the habits of bad teams and winning teams.

View the habits of bad teams here and the habits of great teams here.

Now do you see why preparation is important?

You can’t have it any other way and the evidence is clear in favor of preparation.

So start preparing today for achieving your next goal if you haven’t. You’ll be very happy that you did!

Now when you are consistent, you tend to do this:

You Read More

Let’s be honest. When you are consistent, you win.

And when you win, you have fun when you work and you crave to learn more things that can help you win more outstanding victories.

That’s why winners read all of the time because books (along with experience) contain the knowledge you need to get ahead of everyone else.

There has not been a single great mind since the inception of books that hasn’t read a book to get ahead in their fields.

Eventually, you learn this to be true as you look up to those who have succeeded in the field you are pursuing.

Sure, you can go to YouTube to learn certain subjects (these subjects are recommended to learn on YouTube), but everything in life will always come down to great books in your field.

If you are consistent in what you do and you seek to get ahead, you will gravitate towards the best sources of knowledge in your field.

And a side note about books:

Most books are trustworthy with the information they are giving.

Of course, there are bad ones out there, but in general, they are the most effective for learning because when you read them and take notes while reading them, your mind can internalize the information deeply and really understand the concepts behind everything that’s going on.

Add to this the fact that every single high achieving person on the planet testified to the effectiveness of books.

You can’t argue with this reality.

And last but not least, you do this:

You Start To Believe In the Long Run

Consistency gets success. You already knew that from before.

But what is it about consistency that makes you believe in yourself more than anyone else?

You can realistically expect to do well over the long run.

As we have discussed, consistency adds itself up over time.

It adds up confidence, ability, drive, results, etc.

Because of this, you can predict the future and know for sure that unless you have some crazy accident, you will do great in the future with what you have.

Over time, you develop tried and true methods of accomplishing something since you practice it often and you know it works or doesn’t work in whatever situation you are in.

This is the path to mastery in whatever you do.

And this is how greatness is matured and developed into something that is tangible and delivers results for yourself.

Listen, people want results now with what they are doing.

The problem for them (unless they’re you’re client or employer) is they are not patient enough to put in the work required to achieve what they want and as a result, they stay in mediocrity.

99 out of 100 people will do this and they will never become a championship winning person/team.

This opens the door for you if you are patient enough to persist.

If you stay in it for the long haul and continue to develop your craft to the best that it can be, you will at least become one of the best in your line of work.

That is the truth.

Follow the process and the results will come.

And you will be on top.

Guaranteed.

I know you can do it.

Just believe in yourself and get to work on what you want to accomplish.
